‘Scream’ Gets Official Première Date & New Faces for Season 2


MTV have announced the air date for the second season of their Scream adaptation and have also revealed that we can expect to meet 6 brand new Lakewood residents.

The official première date for season 2 of Scream is May 31 at 10/9 c. At which time we will start to meet the new characters. There will be two series regulars in the form of overachieving student Zoe, played by recording star Kiana Lede and a dark and brooding arty student called Gustavo Acosta, played by Silicon Valley star Santiago Segura. From what we know about these two new characters, Zoe will be harbouring some kind of secret while Gustavo is an outsider who is obsessed with horror, serial killers and comics.

We will also be seeing 4 new recurring characters in the form of Sheriff Acosta, a strict cop returning home to Lakewood. He is also Gustavo’s father. The Sheriff will be played by Anthony Ruivivar (Banshee). Also joining the cast will be Austin Highsmith (Criminal Minds) who will be taking on the role of psychology teacher Karen Lang and Karina Logue (Ray Donovan) who will play Tina Hudson a polite and self reliant young woman. Finally, Kieran’s (Amadeus Serafini) cousin Eli will also be introduced to the show as a recurring character played by Sean Grandillo (Secrets and Lies).

Returning characters from the first season will include Emma (Willa Fitzgerald), Audrey (Bex Taylor-Klaus), Brooke (Carlson Young), Jake (Tom Maden) and Noah (John Karna). MTV and Dimension TV have promised that we will learn more about Lakewood’s murderous past with more betrayal and more bloodshed than ever before!
