Homeland is becoming televisions Oceans 11, and has now added another member to its expanding cast. Dominic Fumusa will be joining as FBI Special Agent Ray Conlin. Due to the secrecy of the show, no character details other than name have been mentioned. This means he can be a good guy or a bad guy, and there is no telling how many episodes he will appear in.

Fumusa is best known for his role on Nurse Jackie as Kevin Peyton, the long running Showtime drama starring former Soprano’s wife Edie Falco. He has also made several appearance in both television and film including Focus, Blue Bloods, Law & Order, As the World Turns and even The Sopranos. He has been around the block twice, and is one of few people to have guest roles in 3 different Law & Order series. He has even been on CSI, NYPD Blue, Bones and Charmed! So consider this role in Homeland as an FBI agent one that will be child’s play for him.

Also joining the series in the new season is the wonderfully named Elizabeth Marvel, a talented actress that will play the role of the president-elect. This will be the hardest role this season, but there is no one better to get it right than Marvel. General Jamie McClendon will be played by newcomer Robert Knepper, who did some great things previously on Prison Break.

Homeland is pulling out all the stops for the new season, and there is little reason to believe that they will stop here. This will be the best season ever for the series, and with Quinn coming back it will also tie up a lot of loose ends from the previous season.

Do you have high hopes for Homeland? What has been the best hire so far in the past year?
