Dave is yet to decide on the future of the Hoff the Record for Season 3

Release Date of #HoffRecord S3: To be announced

Hoff the Record is a British comedy television show that originally premiered on June 18th, 2015. The comedy series is semi-improvised, and is a fictional spoof “shot in the style of a documentary”. In the fictional documentary, David Hasselhoff plays a fictional version of himself works to revitalize his acting career in the United Kingdom after several decades of personal and professional failures. The second season of the show premiered on May 6th, 2016. The series airs on the ‘Dave’ Network in the United Kingdom.

What is this series about?

#HR quickly became a “cult classic” after premiering during the summer of 2015.  David Hasselhoff was the star of the Baywatch series as well as the television show, Knight Rider. In the satirical series, David Hasselhoff moves across the ocean to the United Kingdom to try to revive his career after years and years of failed acting attempts and failed marriages. The series also largely spoofs Hasselhoff’s alter ego “The Hoff”, which the masses began calling Hasselhoff years ago. In a very similar fashion to Chuck Norris, the ‘Hoff’ became a cult hero being portrayed at someone who “is incredibly tough and strong”. The Hoff has inspired many memes in the last couple of years.

Where did we leave off?

There were six episodes in the first season. In the end of the season, Terry kidnapped his daughter while driving David to Southend-on-Sea. Due to the nature of the circumstances, the police believe that David kidnapped the girl and this is what the media is reporting to the masses. In the beginning of season two, David is involved in a death hoax after being involved in a water sports accident. The hoax has no effect on David’s sales at all though, but he does struggle trying to figure how to stay on the down low and remain “dead”.

Will HR be coming to air in the United States at all?

Yes! It was announced back in December that the “mockumentary” would be coming to the AXS Network sometime this spring (though it better hurry up, because spring time is almost over!). Mark Cuban owns the AXS station, and they are absolutely ecstatic to have the show coming to air on their station in the United States.

The station made an announcement, which stated, “#HoffRecord is an excellent testament to what a great and self-assured guy David is, and AXS TV is proud to be able to bring the inaugural season to the states for the first time ever. It’s not often you get the chance to have the most watched star in the history of television (according to the Guinness Book of World Records) on your network, and we couldn’t be more thrilled”.

Will there be a season three of the show?

While we haven’t heard an official announcement yet as to whether the show will be renewed or cancelled for a third season, we are betting the chances are pretty solid that it will be coming back again. Ratings were anticipated to be so good that the show was renewed already for a second season before the first episode of the show even premiered.

The ratings fell a little short of what producers were expecting, but were still quite good in season one and we anticipate that they will only continue to get better in season two. With that being said, we are expecting to hear a renewal for the third season shortly and we will keep you updated as we do. If there is a third season of the show, what sort of spoofs do you think we will see? Rumor has it that season two will largely focus on David’s stay in rehab. Do you think season three will continue to satire his rehab

stay or do you think producers will find another part of his life to make fun of or satire? What sort of plot lines can you imagine for the third season?

We want to hear from you!

Do you think this comedy is special? Would you tune in to watch a third season? Do you think the show is funny? Could you take it or leave it? Weigh in and let us know your thoughts and reactions!

Love the show and the cast works well together. I hate when series wait so long between season so the viewers lose interest. Hoff is funny and this show needs more exposure. Hope it comes back soon!

I saw season 1 and was pleasantly surprised. Very funny moments, great actors, David Hasselhoff in top form and a very exciting last episode. I was really looking forward to season 2, and I found it terribly weak. The episodes except for the beginning, ran without highlights, had no drive and lacked the lighthearted turbulence from season 1. No wonder there is no release in UK and honestly, i’m not waiting for season 3, before it gets worse, which is almost impossible.
