Cinemax Apologize For Delaying ‘Banshee’ With New Promo

Bad news for fans of ‘Banshee’ – it turns out that the fourth (not to mention final) season of the series has been delayed by Cinemax for a couple of months. The final eight episode run was originally scheduled to air on January 29, but the show’s creator announced on Twitter that fans are going to have to wait until April 1 to see the conclusion of Lucas Hood’s story.

In an attempt to apologize to the fans for the epic disappointment, Cinemax shared a brand new promo for the fourth season. However, there are some who that this is just rubbing a little salt in the wound, since the promo just ramps up the anticipation even more!

The new promo gives a sneak peek at what viewers can expect from the fourth season and it certainly looks like it is going to be explosive! It’s got Carrie with a flame thrower, Lucas not only giving up the lawman persona, but pretty much disregarding the law all together, Job is missing in action and it looks as though Brock could be in mortal danger. If this promo is anything to go by, we don’t know if anyone is actually going to make it out of Banshee alive! The trailer also gives us our first glimpse of new cast member Eliza Dushku (Tru Calling, Dollhouse) who joins Banshee as Agent Veronica Dawson.

The action series tells the story of Lucas Hood (Antony Starr), a criminal who takes on the identity of the murdered sheriff of Banshee, Pennsylvania.

Banshee returns to Cinemax on Friday April 1, 2016.
